Jennys Corner

Some of my very favorite plants:

I like to use these more often than others in my designs.

For unique variety or texture check these plants out.

Most are low water and low maintenance.

Many can be used in pots or in the ground.

Most of these plants are also shown under the plant collections part of our site. This is a go to area for people I have done designs for to refresh their memories on the plants listed in the designs or used in their yards.

Just call or email if you have any further questions.

My favorites:

Agaves and Aloes:

In general Agaves and Aloes are a favorite of mine. Usually, in my designs I use the term Agave Mix, Or Aloe Mix as a generic term because we carry so many types. Different color flowers, shapes and sizes. There are many of them shown under our plant collection part of the website check them out they are awesome! Shade, sun, pots or in the ground theres always a Agave or Aloe that will work perfect!

Trichocereus:

There is no doubt that this is also one of my favorite plants. The flowers are larger than my husbands hand and with all the colors they come in you can't go wrong! Get one!

Landscape Care Tips:

* Fertilize 3 times per year in October, February and May. All purpose GRANULAR is best, it will last for months at a time.

* Grub control: Treat Agaves, Aloes and Yuccas. (Especially Agaves) with granular bug and grub as a preventative measure a couple times a year. A bag cost about 15 bucks and will last a year or so. Most of the time by the time you notice they need it its too late!

Its worth the minor cost and time!

* Don't forget to turn your water timers up and down as seasons change.  Or off in times of lots of rain. (I know that doesn't happen often but when it does turn it off)
