Established in 2001
The nursery was originally started by John and Christine Augustine as Desert Tree Farms retail location. After 30 years they sold the business to us becoming Desert Gardens Nursery.
We are very excited to be part of such a wonderful place! With 10 years under our belt as Desert Gardens we are excited for the years to come.
Meet the Business Owners:
The owners are Jenny and Kyle Smith.
Jenny was one of the managers at Desert Tree, while Kyle owned his own landscape company. We came together and became Desert Gardens October of 2001.
Jenny has degrees in Horticulture and Agribusiness, and is also a Arizona Certified Nurseryman.
Kyle went to Ball State with a degree in Natural resources, and has worked in the nursery and landscape business since 1995.
We are a family business, Jenny's brother Chris Brecht is the store manager and has been in the business since 98.
We love teaching people that the desert can be beautiful.
